The travel to Sumilon takes 2 to 3 hours. We passed by the South Reclamation Project to avoid traffic in the downtown area.
Stopping over in Carcar to have breakfast. Of course it is free!
Finally arriving at the receiving area of the resort in mainland Oslob, Cebu
Boarding the boat that will take us to Sumilon Island. The boat ride normally takes 15 minutes. Got the privilege tour around the island before docking.
Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort's resident manager, Greg Peral, dicussed Sumilon's keypoints and gave us a brief history of the place while serving us with snacks.
Time for the occular inspection of their guest rooms. We headed to two of their guest houses. Check out how neat the rooms are.
Before taking lunch, took pictures of the group. Ruben of PinoyWorld was showing one of the staff how the camera works while we wait for our photos to be taken.
Then had a sumptous lunch buffet.
The official start of our island tour. Went to the shifting sandbar first.
Then went trekking. Tried to go to the lighthouse but due to the time and the bad weather, we headed back and checked out their lagoon instead.
Afterwhich, we checked out the resort's infinity pool.
Before leaving, we were served with carbonara for snacks and provided with packed food for dinner.
This experience was really unforgettable. I will never grow tired of going back to this place. I am looking forward to my next trip on this island and show off the island to my friends.
